Pool Maintenance in Marbella
Professional pool maintenance for villas, holiday homes and communities in Marbella. Keep your pool clean, balanced and ready to use all year round.

Professional pool maintenance
Pool maintenance is the ongoing management of the pool: water chemistry, filtration, circulation and equipment condition, with cleaning built in. Where a cleaning visit deals with what you can see, maintenance is about keeping the whole system stable so problems never surface.
It is the right service if you want one team responsible for the pool year-round — reporting what changes, correcting chemistry before it drifts and flagging equipment that is heading for failure.
What's included in pool maintenance?
A maintenance visit combines cleaning with water chemistry management and equipment checks, recorded visit by visit so trends are visible.
- Cleaning — skim, brush, vacuum, empty baskets
- Water testing: pH, free chlorine, and salt where applicable
- Chemical dosing and water balancing
- Filter pressure check and backwashing or cartridge cleaning
- Pump, motor and circulation check
- Skimmer and return flow inspection
- Salt cell inspection where fitted
- Water level monitoring
- Algae prevention treatment
- General condition report after each visit
Weekly pool maintenance
Weekly maintenance is the standard for Marbella pools in use, and it is the service most owners here end up on. The same visit each week keeps chlorine and pH inside range instead of swinging between over- and under-dosed.
Frequency can drop to fortnightly over the winter months for pools that are not being swum in, then step back up before the season. We agree the schedule up front so you know what is being done and when.

Villa pool maintenance in Marbella
Villa pools carry more equipment — heat pumps, salt chlorinators, automatic covers, feature lighting — and each of those adds a maintenance point that a basic cleaning round would skip.
We maintain villa pools in Marbella, Nueva Andalucía, Puerto Banús, the Golden Mile, San Pedro de Alcántara, Guadalmina, Elviria, Las Chapas, Cabopino and Benahavís.
Pool maintenance while you're abroad
Yes — we maintain pools for owners who are not in Spain, and it is a large part of what we do. Access is arranged once with a keyholder, neighbour, concierge or gate code, and after that the visits run without you being involved.
You get a report on what was done and photos where anything needs your decision. If something breaks, you get the problem, the options and a written price before anyone spends your money.

Holiday rental pool maintenance
Rental pools are maintained on a schedule that fits the booking calendar, so the water is right when guests arrive rather than the day after.
For managed properties we coordinate directly with the property manager and keep the pool on the same reporting cycle as the rest of the property.
Saltwater pool maintenance
Saltwater pools still need maintenance. The chlorinator generates the sanitiser, but salt level, pH, stabiliser and cell condition all have to be managed, and a scaled or ageing cell will drop output long before it fails outright.
Maintenance on a salt pool includes salt level checks, cell inspection and cleaning, and controller checks alongside the normal cleaning and filtration work. Installation, cell replacement and controller faults are covered by our saltwater systems service.
Pool equipment monitoring
Every maintenance visit includes a look at the equipment, because most expensive pool failures start as something small and visible weeks earlier.
- Filter pressure trend — a climbing gauge means the filter needs attention
- Pump noise, vibration and priming
- Visible drips at unions, valves and the pump seal
- Return flow strength at the inlets
- Salt cell scaling and output
- Heat pump operation where fitted
- Timer and control settings
Common pool problems we identify
These are the issues that show up most often on Marbella pools, and the ones a maintenance visit is designed to catch early.
- Cloudy water — usually filtration, pH or under-sanitising
- Green water — algae taking hold after a chemistry drop
- Water level falling faster than evaporation explains
- Weak circulation or poor return flow
- High or unstable filter pressure
- Pump noise, air in the pump or loss of prime
- Abnormal pH, chlorine or salt readings
- Visible leaks at the equipment or in the surround
Equipment failures are handled through pool repair, and water loss that evaporation does not explain through pool leak detection.
